This building has had a varied history. It served as the Laidley Mortuary and, in another chapter of its life, as a general store — the original soda fountain from its shop days is still on display.

Today it houses an eclectic collection of artefacts showing the lifestyle and cultural heritage of the Lockyer Valley and surrounding areas.

The Museum was generously donated to the Village by the Society’s inaugural president and life member, Jim Crack, whose dedication and vision played a pivotal role in preserving the history of the community.
